Maurice was called home on March 23, 2018. He was a kind and generous man and loved caring for his yard and flowers. He also enjoyed riding bikes and kayaking.
He was employed at Pepsi-Cola for 37 years and was well respected with his diligence to the task at hand and his work ethic.
Maurice came to know and love the Lord. He was baptized on his birthday in 04-29-2004. He also received instruction under Pastor Philip Krupski and was confirmed on 05-02-2004.
He loved his wife and dog dearly; although we aren’t quite sure in what order! Julie looks forward to the day they will be together again.
We are all comforted and rejoice in the knowledge he no longer has the pain of the deadly cancer he bravely endured for three years. Maurice will be very missed by his family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wed, March 28, from 5 to 8 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Indpls. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thurs, March 29, with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Gathering Together, 147 N. Center Street, Plainfield, IN 46168 (www.thegatheringtogether.org). Maurice will be laid to rest at St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery at a later date.

Hi Mrs. Julie
I am saddened by the news of your husband, though I did not have the pleasure of meeting him, through you I believe he was a great man. May God give you peace in this hard time. There are no words I can say at this moment but that I admire how strong you are and how God has given you strength through all this. One thing that we are sure is that Maurice is no longer suffering and is rejoicing in the presence of our Lord. He has had the pleasure of meeting our Lord before us. May God bless you and know that in this little bit of time that I have known you, I really have learned to Love you. Whatever you need you know how to get a hold of me.

Julie: we were so saddened to learn that “Mo” had lost his battle to cancer. We always enjoyed seeing and talking with you both and if we drove past the house Mo always waved! We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers as this special Holy Week will give us a Risen Lord to heaven and I bet that Mo is right there at the Lords side.
